A campaign created by Calderdale-based designer and marketer, Chris Sands, has won national recognition in Australia. The Extraordinary, Everyday Barossa campaign picked up the Australian Economic Development 2016 National Award for ‘Best Promotional and Marketing Campaign’.
The campaign was filmed solely by Chris on his iPhone and SLR camera as he cycled around the state in Southern Australia collecting stories of everyday makers, traders and crafts people who make Barossa such a unique and inspiring place. The project is ongoing and there are over 20 more interviews to add to the website. It will be followed up in 2017 with an exhibition of sound, words and pictures at The Barossa Vintage Festival. All in a hope to help people realise how extraordinary their everyday life is.
